It made a strategic diversification into the food distribution business with the incorporation of Yamakawa in 1981 and acquired the distribution rights for Japanese foodstuffs. Yamakawa later expanded its product mix to include pharmaceuticals, lingerie and watches. The Group is now one of the leading distributors of Japanese confectionery, food and beverages as well as one of the key supplies of disposable hospital sundry products in Singapore. Its consumer products include Morinaga Japanese confectionery, Kirin beer, Smint candy, UCC beverages and Kikkoman soy sauce.
